Director Rosenthal to Visit Chicago Outdoor Sports Show
ROSEMONT, IL – Outdoors enthusiasts attending the Chicago Outdoor Sports Show in Rosemont on Saturday, Jan. 23 are invited to visit with Wayne Rosenthal, Director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR).  Director Rosenthal will be at the Illinois Conservation Foundation (ICF) booth at the show from 10 a.m. to Noon on Jan. 23.  The Director is visiting the show for a special ribbon cutting for Youth Conservation Awareness and Kids Day, and the first 650 children attending the show that day will receive a free pack of Berkley products courtesy of Grandt Rods.

“I’m always happy to talk to our state’s hunters, anglers and those who enjoy the outdoors,” said Director Rosenthal.  “The Chicago Outdoors Show is a great place to do this since it is celebrating 37 years in the Chicago area, and will provide a great break from cabin fever.”

The Chicago Outdoor Sports Show will take place on January 20-24 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont.  In addition to hundreds of exhibitors, the Illinois Conservation Foundation will be distributing free youth-oriented items and helping attendees learn more about youth conservation programs in Illinois.  Visitors to the show can also buy their 2016 Illinois hunting and fishing licenses from IDNR staff at the show.

“We’re thrilled to be involved with this outstanding show again,” said Eric Schmidt, ICF Executive Director.  “It’s a great chance to meet so many folks interested in inspiring the next generation of conservation leaders and a perfect spot for the outdoors lover to stock up on gear for the spring.”

This year’s show will feature dozens of fishing and hunting seminars, family-friendly attractions and amazing deals on RV’s, boats, fishing tackle and poles, archery, outfitters, wildlife art, hunting supplies, charters, canoes, kayaks, gun safes, knives, taxidermy and so much more.  Tickets to this Chicago Outdoor Sports Show are an exceptional value as they’re also good for the Chicagoland Gun Show & Outdoor Expo, Fire & Ice Expo and the Hot Sauce Expo, all at the same location.  Plus, discounted tickets are available by bringing cans of non-perishable food for the ICF food drive.  To find out more about the show and to purchase tickets, visit www.chicagosportsmenshow.com.
