Controlled Pheasant Hunting Quotas Increased at Jim Edgar Panther Creek SFWA
CHANDLERVILLE, IL – Daily hunter quotas have been increased on the Controlled Pheasant Hunting Unit at the Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish and Wildlife Area in Cass County beginning December 23 and extending to the close of the controlled pheasant hunting season on January 15, 2016.

Hunters are encouraged to use the online Controlled Pheasant Hunting Reservation System available through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) website at www.dnr.illinois.gov.

Reserved permits ensure hunters will have the opportunity to hunt.  Standby permits are also available at the site hunter check station for each hunt date, although standby hunting opportunities are limited.

To access the online reservation system:
Go to www.dnr.illinois.gov
Click on the "Hunting/Trapping" button on the IDNR home page
Then click on "Controlled Pheasant Hunting" in the “Quick Links” list

Hunters are reminded that the daily permit fee for controlled pheasant hunting is $30 for resident hunters and $35 for nonresident hunters each hunt date.  The daily permit fee applies to each hunter.
