Youth Firearm Deer Season Information

              ​                       2019 Youth Firearm Deer Hunting Season:  October 12, 13 & 14  

WHO CAN PURCHASE A YOUTH FIREARM DEER SEASON PERMIT?  The Youth Firearm Deer Season is open only to hunters who have not reached their 18th birthday prior to the opening date of the season.

WHERE CAN I HUNT?  Counties open to the Youth Firearm Deer Season include all counties EXCEPT Cook, DuPage, and Lake Counties; and that portion of Kane County east of State Route 47.  In addition, there are several Public Land Sites open during the Youth Firearm Deer Season for holders of a Youth Firearm Deer permit issued for the county in which the site is located.  Click Here for List of Public Land Sites

Youth Firearm Deer Season Permit (Residents and Nonresidents) $10.50 Over the Counter (OTC) at License Vendors OR online    8-6-19 to 8-31-19 
    ONLY Over the Counter (OTC) at License Vendors   9-1-19 to 10-14-19
