Mt. Vernon Game Propagation Center

2018 - 2019 Season


LOCATION: Three miles south of Mt. Vernon and one mile east of State Route 37


Total Acres: 700   Acres of Water: 1 acre pond & 8 acre shallow water area

Huntable Acres: 650           Acres of Timber: 300

Buildings, Pens, etc.: 100   Cultivated or Fallow: 300

Topography is rolling with timbered hills and creek bottoms


Dove    Deer (archery only)

Squirrel     Rabbit    Turkey (Spring Season, limited permits) (Fall archery only)


1. Special regulations apply, check at headquarters

2. All hunters must sign in, sign out, and report their harvest

3. No overnight camping

4. Dove hunting NON-TOXIC SHOT ONLY. Hunting hours are sunrise to 11:30am daily Sept 1st - Sept. 5th. A drawing will be held one hour before sunrise if more hunters show up than can be accomodated. Closes September 30th.
