Wetland Wildlife Program Manager
Randy Smith is the program manager for wetland wildlife, and is the State Waterfowl Biologist. He is responsible for research and survey data collection for planning of Illinois Waterfowl Seasons, and for implementation of Illinois' Waterfowl Hunting, He is also the lead of the Wetlands Campaign for the Illinois Wildlife Action Plan, serves on the Duck Stamp Committee, and serves on the technical committee for the Mississippi Flyway Council.
Waterfowl Project Manager
Dan Holm is the project manager for waterfowl in Illinois. He is responsible for implementing banding activities in the state on wood ducks and geese, analyzing data, and writing reports. He provide the program manager with technical recommendations on research, the 5-year waterfowl hunting plan for Illinois, and on various other waterfowl-related issues.
Urban Waterfowl Project Manager
Roy Domazlicky is responsible for providing the public and IDNR staff with technical assistance on Urban Waterfowl issues, including nusiance issues. He directly oversees the Canada goose nest destruction permits and other Migratory Bird issues. He also provides the program manager with technical recommendations on research, the 5-year waterfowl hunting plan for Illinois, and on various other waterfowl-related issues.
