Grant Period: Approximately October 2014 through March 2016 (18 months)
Grant Amounts: $20,000 to $150,000 - Projects with smaller budgets may be considered on a case-by-case basis, but only if the applicant contacts ICMP to discuss the project idea no later than May 15, 2014.
Total Funding Available: Approximately $800,000
Eligibility: Applicant must be a unit of government or a 501(c)3. Education projects location must be within Lake or Cook Counties in Illinois. Planning grants must be for projects entirely within the Illinois Coastal Zone. A 1 to 1 match is required for most applicants. Governmental entities in Economically Challenged Communities require a 1:3 match. See the Grant Guidelines for further details.
Award Criteria Include: Quality of proposal, anticipated outputs and outcomes, feasibility, timeline, cost effectiveness, qualification of applicants, partnerships, and innovation.

1. Carefully read the Grant Guidelines and Application Instructions and follow all instructions.
2. Complete Application Packet and attach required supplemental materials.
3. Mail one completed and signed paper copy of the application packet, postmarked by May 30, 2014 to:
