The Department of Natural Resources is requesting Offers (bids/proposals) from responsible Vendors to meet the State's needs. Below is a brief description of our needs with detailed requirements in subsequent sections of this solicitation. If you are interested and able to meet these requirements, please submit an Offer.
The Department of Natural Resources requires agricultural farming services for land located at Franklin Creek State Natural Area in Lee County, Section 33, Township 22 North, Range 10 East, 3rd Principle Meridian.
The acreage for farm lease is: approximately 43.4 acres in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.
Many Department of Natural Resources owned or managed lands contain tillable acreage. These lands have the potential to generate revenue if used to grow agricultural products. It is the Department’s policy to minimize the use of such lands for agricultural production in favor of establishing annual or permanent wildlife habitats. However, the Department also recognizes that certain agricultural practices and farm income can provide needed resources for wildlife habitat, improving habitat diversity, developing cover and edge effect, and maintaining annual vegetative stages.
Public Act 95-971 contains registration requirements regarding bids and proposals submitted by vendors. You must read and comply with the requirements. See
www.purchase.state.il.us for additional information.
NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY In compliance with the State and Federal Constitutions, the Illinois Human Rights Act, the U.S. Civil Rights Act, and Section 504 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act, the State of Illinois does not discriminate in employment, contracts, or any other activity.
