Marseilles SFWA to Close Periodically in October for Military Training 
Site will be closed to public for eight days this month 
Marseilles, IL – The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) announced today that the Marseilles State Fish and Wildlife Area will be closed periodically in October to allow for military training vital to defending our nation and state.   The site will be closed on October 11, October 15-18, October 24-25, and again on October 29.

Marseilles State Fish and Wildlife Area will continue to be open Monday through Thursday in October with the exception of the above dates.
The Marseilles Area is a joint-use area for the IDNR and the Illinois Department of Military Affairs.  In the Memorandum of Understanding that governs the use of the site, either party may use the whole site when necessary.  The successful operation of both agencies’ programs depends upon the cooperation of all users of the site.

IDNR is honored to partner with the Illinois Department of Military affairs and fully supports important training of our soldiers who defend our state and nation every day.
