You received your permits but they have been lost or damaged:
You will need to mail us a letter. Your letter must include your name, birth date, type of permit (firearm, muzzleloader, archery, etc.), permit county and permit number(s) (if available), current address and phone number, along with a check in the amount of $3.00 PER PERMIT.
Mail the letter and check to:

Replacements will be mailed to you in 5 - 7 days from receipt.
You never received your permits:
Please check the Online Deer Inquiry System or the Online Turkey Inquiry System to:
- Make sure you were issued a permit.
- Make sure the permit(s) were sent to the correct address.
If you have moved please contact us via email or fax (see info below). Indicate that you have moved and ask to check if we received your permit(s) back in the mail. If we received the permits back from the Post Office, they will not be reprinted but will be resent to the correct address and your record will be updated. If we did not receive your permits back from the Post Office we will contact you. You will then need to follow the instructions for Lost or Destroyed Permits above.

- Fax us at 217-782-5016 - you can either send your transaction receipt from online purchases (with address changes indicated) or a sheet of paper with your name birth date, type of permit (firearm, muzzleloader, archery, etc.), permit county and permit number(s) (if available), current address and phone number, your signature and a brief explanation. Fax it to - Attn: Permit Dept. No cover sheet is needed.

Once you have verified that Springfield did not receive your permits back in the mail you may call your local Regional Office to arrange replacement:

NOTE: We will not call you back to verify that we received your information. If you absolutely must have verification, please indicate this in your fax or email. We will contact you if you need to pay for replacement permits.
