Fox River - Kendall County (Waterfowl) Hunter Fact Sheet

INTRODUCTION: The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is responsible for providing outdoor recreation opportunities for residents of the state. Of particular concern is providing safe hunting areas throughout the State. This "Hunter Fact Sheet" contains information relating to the waterfowl blind locations on the Fox River between Millbrook and Oswego, Illinois.

LOCATION: The portion of the Fox River between Millbrook and Oswego, Illinois. GPS bearings are provided on the map.

DESCRIPTION: The Illinois Department of Natural Resources has identified and marked 13 waterfowl blind locations with a 12 X 8 inch yellow sign with black lettering. All blinds must be within 10 feet of the sign posted by the IDNR. Blinds are to be used on a first come - first served basis, including any permanent blinds that are built. These blind locations are subject to change at any time as determined by the IDNR.

WATERFOW HUNTING REGULATIONS

All applicable regulations found in the Wildlife Code of 1971 Federal Regulations and Administrative Order 510 shall apply, unless the site regulations are more restrictive.

SITE REGULATIONS:

  1. Statewide regulations and seasons apply.
  2. All blinds must be with in 10 feet of IDNR sign.
  3. Blinds are to be used on a first come - first served basis.
  4. Boat blinds cannot be anchored anywhere to the shore.
