Did you know that the "Land of Lincoln" has another name? Illinois is also called "The Prairie State" because over half of it was once covered by tall grass prairies. Now, less than 1% of the prairie is left. From wildflowers, to herds of bison, to dancing prairie chickens, learn the secrets of our State's tall grass prairies.
