Call for time to be at trail head if not car pooling. 
Description: 
Car pool starts at Murphysboro Ranger Station, Shawnee National Forest,  12:30 or 1:15 Alto Pass pavilion. Hike is at Trail of Tears State Forest, Jonesboro. 

As ticks season seems to start by early May, this outing will walk along the North Forest Road and enjoy 600 ft. views over the valleys with each turn. A presentation on the history of the forest will be provided. Distance traveled will be a group decision.
