Illinoisans only have to keep their eyes open as they travel through southern Illinois to see the long term effects of extreme weather events and invasive species on time production and wildlife habitat. Downed and damaged trees from the derecho of 2009, ice storms, drought and last year's tornadoes are visible reminders of the risks inherent in growing timber. This workshop is to help landowners manage their woodlots in the face of such uncertainty.
