Traditionally the Board has held meetings at various locations around the state. Beginning in 2010, the Board elected to hold all meetings at a location central to its members in an effort to reduce travel costs. For this reason, all 2012 meetings are scheduled for Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie, Wilmington, Illinois.
If anyone has reason to address the Board, the Board requests advance notification of at least 30 days prior to a scheduled meeting of such intent including an advance written copy of the matter to be presented. Without an advance copy of such presentations, the Board cannot make on-the-spot evaluations concerning any matter, and will not be able to formally act on that matter during the current meeting.
These meetings will be accessible to handicapped individuals in compliance with all pertinent state and federal laws upon notification of anticipated attendance. Handicapped persons planning to attend and needing special accommodations should contact, either by telephone or by letter, Endangered Species Protection Board, One Natural Resources Way, Springfield, IL 62702-1271, (217) 785-8687, at least one week prior to a meeting, to inform of their anticipated attendance.
Equal opportunity to participate in programs of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), Illinois Endangered Species Protection Board, and those funded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and other agencies is available to all individuals regardless of race, sex, national origin, disability, age, religion, or other non-merit factors.
If you believe you have been discriminated against, contact the funding source's civil rights office and/or the Equal Employment Opportunity Officer, IDNR, One Natural Resources Way, Springfield, IL 62702-1271; 217/785-0067; TTY 217/782-9175.
