Description: 
Learn about the biology and ecology of native bamboo, also know as giant cane.  Cane formerly covered vast areas (canebreaks) in southern Illinois.  With Southern Illinois University researchers, discuss this important wetland habitat and techniques being developed to restore cane back to the land.  Also develop your skill of tree and woody plant ID of wetland habitats.
