Discover why Bluebirds have made a remarkable comeback in Illinois and throughout North America!  This success story is a shining example of humans doing good.  Learn how to become a part of their story.  Whether in your yard, your neighborhood or at your local park, monitoring bluebird houses is rewarding for people of all ages.  Volo Bog State Natural Area, Moraine Hills State Park and various public and private sites in Lake County all have openings for new monitors.  No need to monitor - just come enjoy the story!  Reservations requested at dnr.volobog@illinois.gov or 815-344-1294.  Group size is limited; walk-ins allowed as space is available.  Ages 11 - Adult for the workshop (younger kids may accompany adults when monitoring).
