Birding Blitz event is team competition to see and hear the most species of birds in 24-hour period, while raising money for conservation in southernmost Illinois.  Five categories of competition; Big Day, Dawn to Dusk, County Big Day, Senior, Muscle-powered.

Managed by Southern Illinois Audubon Society for Friends of Cache River Watershed as a side-event for Nature Fest.
