Description: 
Presenter Scott Ballard, IDNR Natural Heritage Biologist, is project leader for the conservation effort to reintroduce alligator snapping turtles back in the wetlands of southern Illinois.

The alligator snapper is the largest freshwater turtle in the world.

Program is free and open to the public.  Sponsored by the Sierra Club, Shawnee Group.
